Christian Robert Mittan, 50, of Mendota, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his home. He was born January 25, 1972, in Monroe, WI, the son of Robert and Nancy (Voss) Mittan.
Christian was a 1990 graduate of Rochelle Township High School. He worked for Starved Rock Wood Products in Mendota.
Christian is survived by his mother, Nancy Mittan of Steward; a son, Chaz Evans of Tennessee; his spiritual wife, Carrie Beck, of Mendota and her children, Ariel, Dylan, Brent, and Jesse along with several of her grandchildren.
Christian is preceded in death by his father, Robert Mittan.
Visitation will be from 9-10 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg Street, Paw Paw. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Wyoming Township Cemetery in Paw Paw with Pastor Ken Foster officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Adoption Center of Illinois. He was my first love. He was my first friend. He stayed my friend and brother throughout life’s many turmoils bumps and turns. He was always there for me when ever I needed him. It pains me to know that he won’t be at the other end of the phone when I call now. At least I know he is not fighting his demons anymore. He can finally rest and be at peace.
