Eleanor “Ellie” Jacobs, 71, of Paw Paw passed away Saturday, October 26, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Paw Paw.

Ellie was born October 17, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Oscar and Isabelle (Kuester) DeMert. They later moved to Neillsville, WI where Ellie attended school. Ellie had five children. She married her loving husband Jack Jacobs in 1982 and moved to Compton,IL. Ellie worked as a floral designer until her death, and was an active member of the community. She had many wonderful friends.

She is survived by her husband Jack. Two daughters: Lori Hanson of WI, and JaLayne (Tom) Lionberger of Troy, IL; two sons: Dayne Shaw of Sycamore, and Brent “Buzz” Shaw of Mendota; her step-children: Dean Jacobs of Arizona, Ed Jacobs of Indiana and Mary (Tim) Rebholz of Florida. Grandchildren: Jessica, Travis, Ashley, Brianne (Roman), Mary, Alli, Jordyn, Cole, Amanda and Justin; three great-grandchildren Leah, Brayden and Johnny; her sister Karen “Bird” and many nieces and nephews. Ellie will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Becky, step-son Dave, brother “Buck” and sister Katie.
