Mary Faye Myers, 89, of Earlville, passed away March 2, 2013 at Heritage Manor in Mendota. She was born March 8, 1923 in Hillsboro, IL, the daughter of Claude and Della (Donnelly) Dilbeck. She was united in marriage to Robert C. Myers.
She worked at Marathon Electric in Earlville for 25 years until it closed. She then went to work for Torman and Sons Furniture Stores in Paw Paw and Earlville for 10 years. She was an avid bowler and entered many tournaments throughout the state, winning numerous trophies. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, reading, gardening, puzzles, and the Chicago Cubs.
She is survived by her children Robert W. (Carol) Myers, of Chula Vista, CA, James D. (Sue) Myers of North Aurora, IL, Thomas W. (Mary Sue) Myers of Earlville, Laura (Bruce) Woodward of Saratoga Springs, UT, and Linda (Melvin) Peterson of Earlville; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 2 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the United Presbyterian Church of Earlville. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until the hour of the service. Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Interment will follow in Precinct Cemetery in Earlville.
