Diane V. Morlan, 80, of Sycamore, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was born November 29, 1943, the daughter of Aloysius and Bernadette (Prosser) Schramer.
Diane loved to crochet and enter her crafts in the Sandwich Fair. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Las Vegas. Family was the most important thing to her, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her two children, Shirlee Morlan and James (Eileen) Morlan; six grandchildren, Jessi (fiancée Ashley Tupa) Evans, Victoria (Kel) Bantz, Michael (Kalene) Bantz, Steven (Grace) Morlan, Kerianne Morlan, and Polly Morlan; six great-grandchildren, Josephine, Mia, Ialynn, Jackson, Jace, and Ilijah; sister, Dolores (Leland) Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by a son, Joseph Morlan, and her brother, John (Barbara) Schramer.
The family would like to give a special thanks to DaVita Dialysis team in DeKalb/Sycamore for the care they gave to Diane.
Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg Street, in Paw Paw. Cremation care will be provided after the visitation. Contributions in Diane’s memory may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
