Helen Marie Smith, 81, formerly of Earlville, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Sandwich Rehabilation Center.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 8, 1931, the daughter of George and Nellie (Ahrendt) Snoke. She married Robert E. Smith of Paw Paw on Nov. 27, 1949. She was a housewife and mother besides doing domestic work in the community. Since moving to Sandwich Rehab she made many friends and participated in various activities. She was especially fond of playing bingo.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Robert Junior Smith of Woodstock, IL, and a sister, Shirley Eberly of Hinckley. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, George Snoke, Jr.
Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Wyoming Township Cemetery in Paw Paw, the Rev. Ken Lawson of Unity Hospice officiating.
