Lucille Marks Amundson, 97, of Loves Park, died Sunday December 28, 2014 at her home. She was born December 18, 1917 in Paw Paw, IL, the daughter of Earl and Nettie (Crouch) Marks. She was united in marriage to George Amundson July 2, 1938. They were married 67 years until his death in 2001.

She graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1935. She grew up attending the Paw Paw Baptist Church. She was employed by Bergner’s Department Store for over 20 years. Lucille loved sewing, crocheting, needlework, playing cards, and her animals, especially Mitzi and all her back yard friends.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews; a special friend and neighbor, Coledene White; and her friends and caregivers Yvonne and Maynard Parker and Liz and Steven Beerli.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; 2 brothers, Henry and Rassele; and her sister, Altamae (Lyle) Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg St., Paw Paw with Pastor Ken Foster officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Interment to follow in Wyoming Township Cemetery in Paw Paw.
