Steven E. Gill, 47, of Earlville, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born December 31, 1968 in Batavia, IL, the son of Thomas James and Nancy (nee Wicklund) Gill. He was united in marriage to Donna (nee Wassman) Peterson on May 16, 2009.

Steve and Donna had been together since 1996 before they were married in 2009. Steve loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He loved flat track racing. He and Donna loved traveling to, and camping at, many different race tracks throughout the country. Steve was an avid cook who loved eating his own cooking as much as preparing it, as did most everyone he cooked for. Steve’s greatest joy was his wife and family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Samantha Peterson and Melissa (Trevis) Worley; four grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Britney, and Sara Worley; his father, Jim (Adrienne) Gill; his mother, Nancy Gill; a brother, David Gill; a sister, Susan Gill; and brothers-in-law Walter (Susan) Wassman and Ken Wassman. He also leaves behind his faithful companions, Cletus and Mousse.

Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents; two nephews, Alex and Zachariah Gill; and a niece, Stevi Ann Gill.

A memorial has been established.

Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg Street, in Paw Paw, IL. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Wyoming Township Cemetery in Paw Paw.
